I am Petra Lens. Executive coach, consultant and trainer.
I am an accredited coach, trainer, and a former executive board member with many years of leadership experience in international organisations. I provide coaching, training and consultancy to leaders on effective leadership, change management and organisational culture, offering careful analysis, a practical plan of action and lasting change.

Coaching, training and consultancy belong to a wonderful field of expertise in which transformation happens through genuine attention and interest. I aim to help many more people to become self-aware, confident and closer to their ideals.
Background
I am a professional coach. My first coaching credentials provided me with a combination of a no-nonsense practical approach and research-based theories.
I obtained a Masters in Executive Coaching (MSc) at the Hult Ashridge Centre for Executive Coaching near London. In addition, I am an EIA accredited Senior by the European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC).
For over 15 years, I worked as an executive board member at international organisations in professional services, financial services and philanthropy, with a focus on HR and change management. I’m at my best when I’m initiating change, using my knowledge of organisational dynamics, facts and figures and last but not least, people.
When I’m not at work
Nature is my resting place. I like to head out with my camera to take
photographs, and preferably landscapes.
I see the beauty in the small things as well as in overwhelming landscapes. Similar to coaching, I notice that a landscape offers new views and discoveries each time I take a different vantage point.

Purpose
Going through life in a self-aware and balanced manner is something worth striving for. That’s easier said than done, speaking from my own experience. Throughout my executive career I’ve experienced first-hand how difficult it is to break the stress cycle of the rat race.
The many assumptions which we hold about ourselves and others can induce stress and keep us away from courageous conversations, growth and innovation, both at work as well as in our private lives. Pressure makes us less effective in collaboration and causes us to lose focus. Stress makes us eat unhealthily and prone to impulsive buying. Others make their way through traffic jams and rush hour while multitasking. This is not how I prefer to live.
Habits add up to large impact on our health, performance and planet, and it’s our responsibility to care of ourselves and our habitat.
I believe that if we are able to observe ourselves and situations from a different vantage point, we will take balanced decisions which will positively contribute to our and others’ wellbeing and habitat.
